NeonSnap's free AI image generator turns a line of text into a finished picture with no account, no credit card and no watermark. It runs on Nano Banana 2 Lite, Google's small, fast image model, with FLUX.1 schnell standing in when Google is busy. Images come back at about one megapixel and download as WebP. Nothing you make is stored.

How to make an AI image for free

  1. Write a prompt. Say what is in the picture, where it is and what the light is doing. "A tabby cat asleep on a sunlit windowsill" works. "Cat" on its own gets you a stock photo.
  2. Pick a shape. Square for Instagram, wide for a blog header or desktop wallpaper, tall for a phone screen or a story.
  3. Press Generate. The image lands in a few seconds. If it is not right, change a word or two and go again.
  4. Download it. Use the download button on the image. Nothing is stored, so once you close the tab it is gone.

What free actually means here

No account, no trial, no card and no email. We do not stamp a watermark on the image and we do not keep a copy: nothing is uploaded or stored, so download anything you want before you leave the page. There is a daily cap per visitor so one person cannot use up the allowance for everyone else.

What people make with it

Social posts and story backgrounds, blog and newsletter headers, mood boards for a room or an outfit, product mockups before the real shoot, book and playlist covers, tabletop characters, birthday cards, and a lot of cats. The samples above were all made on this page and each one shows the prompt that made it, so copy one and change the subject.

Frequently asked questions

Is this really free?

Yes. There is no trial, no credit card and no account. The free model is cheap for us to run and this page is how a lot of people first find NeonSnap, so we can afford to give a limited number of images away every day. The catch is the daily cap per visitor, nothing else.

Do I need an account?

No. The generator on this page works without signing in. An account only matters if you want the premium models, higher resolution or somewhere to keep your images. Creating one is free.

Is there a watermark?

No visible watermark. Images made by the Google engine carry SynthID, Google's invisible marker that lets detection software recognise an AI image. It does not change how the picture looks.

What size are the images?

About one megapixel, so 1024 by 1024 for a square and the same number of pixels stretched to fit the other shapes. That is plenty for social posts, blog headers and mood boards. Downloads are WebP, which every current browser, phone and social network accepts.

Can I use the images commercially?

Yes. Images you generate are yours to use, including commercially, subject to the licence terms of the underlying model.

How do I get the best results?

Describe the subject, where it is and what the light is doing. "A tabby cat on a windowsill at sunset, warm backlight" beats "a cat" every time. Copy any of the sample prompts on this page and swap the subject, or read our guide to writing an image prompt. For sharper detail, bigger sizes and the premium models, create a free account.

Which AI model does it use?

Nano Banana 2 Lite, Google's small, fast image model. A free account unlocks Nano Banana Pro, FLUX.2 Max and Seedream 5 on the Create Image page.

Are my images saved?

No. The image is sent straight to your browser and never stored on our servers. If you close the tab without downloading, it is gone.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. It is a web page, so it runs in Safari, Chrome or any other browser on a phone, tablet or laptop. There is no app to install. Downloads go wherever your phone normally puts them.

Why was my prompt refused?

Usually the model decided the prompt was unsafe: sexual content, graphic violence, real public figures or anything involving children. Harmless prompts sometimes trip it too. A plainer wording normally fixes that.
